Our founder
My name is Eglė, and I am the proud founder of this unique studio. My journey began as a dancer, which ignited my passion for the art of movement and dance. Over time, I realized my true calling was in design, not performance.
Guided by my mother, who first recognized my talent and taught me that clothing must be fashionable yet exclusive, I transitioned from dancing to creating dancewear. This path allows me to blend my technical dance knowledge with artistic vision, crafting pieces that are both functional and beautiful.
Designing dance dresses is not just my profession; it’s my passion. It enriches my life, making me a better person through the joy and satisfaction of seeing dancers shine in my creations.
About the atelier
Founded in 1993 in Kaunas, EM Couture is a premier atelier specializing in exquisite dance dresses. Our dedicated team of 10 skilled seamstresses, master tailors, and professional decorators bring each creation to life with unparalleled attention to detail and quality.
We use only the finest materials and Haute Couture techniques to ensure our garments meet the highest standards. At EM Couture, every piece is a testament to our commitment to excellence in craftsmanship and design.
About the process
At EM Couture, there are two ways to order a custom dance dress. You can either fill out the form on our website or email us at info@emcouture.com. Please describe your vision in as much detail as possible. The more details, photos, and videos you provide, the better we can work. We also require all your measurements, as well as photos of you in a dance pose and standing. Additionally, knowing which federation you dance in is important for the process.
Based on your preferences, Eglė will use her extensive experience to create a sketch for you. Once you approve the sketch, the production process begins. Our experts select the finest and highest quality materials, decorative elements, and Swarovski or Preciosa crystals, and then start sewing the dress. Throughout the entire process, you will receive regular photos and have the opportunity to provide suggestions and requests for changes to ensure the dress of your dreams is created.
After completion and your final approval, the dress will be shipped to you. The entire process, from order to delivery, takes approximately four weeks. If you need it sooner, please let us know at the beginning of the process.
